11 weeks
October 3rd, 2008 Posted in GeneralToday I had another checkup. First let me point out that everything is ok! I apparently scared my mom to death when I emailed her about today’s appt. Anyway, they had a hard time finding the baby’s heartbeat with the doppler, so we got to see the baby on the ultrasound machine! He or she was very active this morning and was even difficult to find on there, but we did find the little heartbeat. It was somewhere in the 160s, which is the best the nurse could get it. I love being able to see the baby! Too bad I didn’t get a picture today. But everything is progressing normally.
So far I’ve lost 6 lbs., which they seemed a little concerned about. I’m not overly concerned because I know that I will start gaining soon enough! It is also looking likely that we will schedule another C-section for this baby. Phoebe was a big baby and usually second babies are at least as big if not bigger. So that is probably the route we’ll go, and my doctor had said that was wise.
In other news.. Phoebe and I are off to Mississippi again this weekend! We’re going to go to a football game and we’ll get to have a little party with my cousin who is a year older! It should overall be a pretty busy, but fun weekend!

Yay for baby! Boo for further indoctrinating your daughter with that Ole Miss crud!

Hey it’s not crud! She’s still doing her “touchdown Rebels!” Too bad it didn’t help them hold onto the ball.
We left early, so maybe that was the problem..

Unlike your husband, I only root for Ole Miss when they’re in a bowl.

Yeah well, he has to live in the same household.
