20 weeks

20 weeks! I can hardly believe I’ve hit the halfway mark to my due date. We had an ultrasound last week where we got to see ou darling little smudge’s girly parts (it’s a girl!), we watched her move around, and even roll her eyes at us! And we have it all on video, so perhaps we can post up a small clip sometime. I won’t subject everyone to the entire 20 minutes of it! We did get some printouts as well, but I haven’t scanned those in yet. Watch for those soon. Needless to say, she is doing great! I have now gained 3 lbs. compared to my pre-pregnancy weight. Since I lost 5 in the first trimester, this is just fine.

In other news, tomorrow is Rick’s and my 4 year anniversary. We celebrated last Friday by going out to Pauli’s. The dinner was slightly tainted due to not being able to crank my car on the way to Pauli’s. Turns out the battery was completely dead. I am thankful that it was not something more. Dinner was lovely though, and we did not let our car woes get in the way of having a good time. :)

Saturday was spent trying to get a new battery in. I also had a recall on my car. Rick wanted some special battery from Sears, so we got the recall done at Mazda, then I went to Sears, to find out they didn’t have that battery for my car, then drove the car back to Mazda to get a warranty replacement (it was 25% covered under warranty) of the standard battery. After all of that, the car is just fine and I’m thankful. We also got Vincent groomed at Petsmart, and I spent all afternoon shopping while waiting on them to call me when he was done. By late afternoon, I was spent and checked on him and Petsmart had called a wrong number to let me know. Oh well, c’est la vie! He looks really cute now with his haircut.

Sunday I napped while Rick watched part of the Indy 500. We left to go recliner shopping when the race was under weather caution. We ended up getting a green micro-suede recliner from La-z-boy and I love it! For now it is in the living room, but eventually it will live in the nursery.

Monday I worked! I know, I know it was a holiday! So why did I work? I’m taking my holiday this weekend so that we can go relax at the beach for a few days! :) We leave tomorrow after work. That’s just fine for our anniversary. :) I’m very much looking forward to this beach trip. I hope to come back Monday relaxed and ready to go back to work. I will probably also be ready to start nesting. ;)

And because we’re behind on these, here are week 19 and 20 photos of me. Enjoy!

Oooh, you have such a cute baby belly! You will have to come and lounge by my mom’s pool with us sometime!

Thank you. :) It is still somewhat small, I think. I will definitely plan to come lounge by your mom’s pool sometime! :)

We were too! Especially with us knowing we were leaving town today. We really didn’t want to take the truck with gas prices as high as they are.

Hey, I’m sensitive to that, having spent over $200 on gas since Friday. :)
