5 Things Maybe You Don’t Know About Me
December 21st, 2006 Posted in General, meme5 Things you maybe don’t know about me
1. I have a mild case of scoliosis. Since I was diagnosed as a child, but haven’t had any problems since, I wasn’t sure this still affected me. When I went to an orthopedist for my hip, I did ask about the scoliosis. He checked me and I still have a mild case, but it is so mild it is unlikely to have anything to do with my hip problems.
2. I was in the gifted art program at my home high school. I miss art, often. But I find that I need “assignments” and some form of instruction still to keep it up. The “assignment” need is why I liked the artsy-craftsy challenge so much earlier this year.
3. Santa came early one year. He came to our house and gave me my presents. After he left, I could “see” Rudolph’s nose as he flew away. True story. I was maybe 2 or 3, but I still remember!
4. I was going to work toward two degrees in college. One in Electrical Engineering and the other in Physics. I really wanted to do physics, but I was afraid I wouldn’t have many job options with it. Now I know that’s not true, but I didn’t know that then. In any case, I figured out it would take way too long to work toward both degrees, so I picked engineering. I think between the two though, I chose the right one for me. Even if my reason back then was flawed.
5. I’ve been overseas once. I went to Italy my senior year for Spring Break. I loved it! I would love to go back with Rick one day. There are several other European countries I’d like to visit too.
Ok, I don’t know how many of those people did and did not know, but that’s what I’ve got. ![]()
I tag…. Rick and teamwinks. I’m out of people at that.

I want to say that I knew #1 [though I don't know why]. As for #5, I knew you’d gone to Italy, but I didn’t know that was your only overseas trip. [You don't count Jamaica as overseas? I guess it is still on our continental shelf.] I have never left the continent, myself. US … Canada. That’s it.

I guess Jamaica would count. It was a very short flight vs. the Italy one!
I’ve never been to Canada either, though I’ve seen it several times!

Also, I kinda figured people would know bits and pieces of this list, but I don’t think anyone knew the whole list. Rick didn’t even know about #3, so I guess I had one that no one here really knew about.

I have always enjoyed Canada, even if I’ve only spent one night in the Great White North.

Awesome! I’ll have to read it Monday or Tuesday. We’re going out of town again today… I’ll look forward to see what you come up with!
Yeah, I’m still surprised my parents were able to send me on that trip. It was so much fun!

Rick is now 2 of these behind. I tagged him for this and Geof tagged him for the other one he did!
