7.5 year reunion
September 16th, 2006 Posted in GeneralEarly August my class had a 7.5 year reunion. Why 7.5? Because we’re not normal. But that was a given. Anyhow, one of my classmates posted up photos on his website here. Enjoy!
What did we learn? I don’t like the new dorms compared to the old. Of course, the old ones are unlivable due to the tornado that came through a few years ago.
Another movement is afoot to not allow teachers who are “uncertified” to teach to either get certified this year or not teach there anymore. Why is this bad? Because these “uncertified” teachers all have Ph.D’s in the fields in which they are teaching! They could be teaching the same things at a university, but they’re not qualified to teach at the Math and Science High school? I think it’s just plain stupid and I hope that a solution can be found.
I only made the reunion a day trip. So no late night partying with my class or anything! But seeing everybody for lunch and touring the campus was just plain awesome. I’m definitely glad that I went.
Since then a homecoming has been planned for October 21. We’re going to be unable to go to that one, but thought I would announce it here.

I had been meaning to ask if y’all were going to that. I probably won’t, either.

Rick has the PE exam the next Friday, so he has to study. It might not be all bad for me to get out of the house, but I certainly don’t want to go without him!

Yeah, I do not think that I am going to go either. There probably just will not be that many people that I know that will be there.

I’m going to the Americana Folk Festival instead. [I damn well better, for what I paid for the damn ticket.]
