Blogging the Bible
July 24th, 2006 Posted in GeneralLeviticus on slavery—worse than I imagined. By David Plotz
David Plotz with Slate.com has been Blogging the Bible. The link above should take you to the most recent post, but he started in Genesis and is working his way through writing his thoughts as he reads. It is truly fascinating to me!
Here is his intro column to this series.
The intro will get you to the beginning of this project. There are also links at the top of the first page I linked to.
He admits that he’s not been a terribly observant Jew. So his goal is simply to read the Bible and record his thoughts about it.
In all of my time going to church, I can’t say I’ve read the Bible all the way through either. That is something I’ve been working on this year. So reading David Plotz’s thoughts on the Old Testament have been really helpful to me, as I go through a similar exercise.
I highly recommend it for everyone!

David’s series actually inspired me to embark on my own Bible Blogging Adventure. I can’t promise that it’s half as interesting, but I try!
